From Mendaki's Collegiate Symposium 2010 organisers,
They'll be having dinner meeting this Thursday evening (730-45pm) at Raffles Place BK. Rationale for this will be to introduce Mendaki Club and Collegiate Symposium and for us to be the voice for the students so that this event will be more meaningful for us. We also need your assistance to help publicize the event; not to worry we will pass you the posters and postcards at a later date. :)
Some background to the symposium:
It is targeted at Malay/Muslim tertiary students and scheduled to be on the 9th of October. It mainly discusses concerns surrounding the student and the need to seize opportunities for strategic positioning in the career path. They have not confirmed the details such as location and speakers yet so we're unable to disclose the matters; but for your reference you may refer to this link http://www.mendaki.org.sg/content.jsp?cont_cat_id=17&cont_id=855 for last year's symposium.
So if u're interested, and i feel it's a really good opportunity esp for the grads, or upcoming grads, do let me know if you can make it this Thursday yeah? :)

i'm sure you guys can't wait to start back training rite, what with the YOG performance coming up soon and all:) so trainings resume when school reopen, Monday, 21st June 2010.
Our trainings will be on mondays and wednesdays, 6pm, SAA building. as usual.

IVP 2010@Persisi is finally over. This is supposed to be the touchy-emo part where the comm write something to sum up the entire journey, but to be honest, i'm not one for poetic words or the charisma to give wonderful speeches. so here's a thought from me (**sorry this came in late cos i was typing with swollen fingers):
we've developed so much. we're there. come on... 7 silvers and 5 bronzes. it may be true that we haven't been able to retain the 3rd overall champ title like last year but god, it was close. the 3rd overall got only 2 golds. the competition was overwhelmingly intense & HOT! and it only proves to show we can only go forward after all of these coz we've all gained from the experience.
we'd like to thank our supporters, both juniors and parents, team managers; FARAH AQILAH and SITI FARHANAH, alumni, SENIORS and coaches; Abg Syah and Cik Rashed for cheering, guiding, assisting, helping, motivating and advising TEAM TP SILAT from the beginning till now.
&& last but not least, to our athletes, you've done us PROUD. we have achieved what we set out to get, what we owe ourselves for all the efforts we've put in... OUR VERY BEST:) it didn't matter that we've cried, fell, fail, got hurt. coz it just plain simple means...we've broken our boundaries.
but then again, all those up there, were just random thoughts from me who didn't get to bag home any medal... that much i can admit. but i know, deep down, i'm stronger now. i'm on top of the world coz i know, win or lose, team temasek was behind me all the way & after the bruises heal, we'll all come back,
tougher, faster & wiser.
