1. Silat Student Leadership Seminar

Venue: MendakiDate:16th Dec 2007 (Sun)
Time: 9am to 5pm
Refreshments provided by Mendaki
Fees: TSCC trying to make it free. at the max it will be $2 student- just to cover expenses for the speakers
Target group: All TSC committee members (currently 4pax per club)
Event is sponsored by Mendaki Details will be given out during meeting.

2. Rangsang Rias (Keris Heirloom Rejuvenation Ceremony)

This event is organized by the Malay Art Gallery in collaboration withTaman Warisan and it will be the 5th such event to be held. The event will showcase the means of keris cleansing as well as cleansing ofother pusakas. Traditional keris clensers will gather for this event.The event next year will also highlight traditional Malay Fashion andfabrix, namely from Jawa, Palembang, Minang, Melayu, Kelantan, Bugis,Jawa Pesisir and Bali. There will also be a keris competition and TSCC are planning for a practical handling workshop for pesilat. Also a mini permainan keris competition will also be held.

Hello..

The long-awaited friendly with RP is finally over and I’m glad that we all had fun enjoying. A big pat on the back to the people who took part in the trial for convincingly fought hard to prove their worth in TP Silat.Your undying determination and endless grit proved to everyone in the hall that you are definitely a fighter in reality. You showed great dedication and commitment during training and the rewards have been fulfilling. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made all this possible.

A big thanks to Safwan for doing most of the behind-the-scenes preparation. Thank you Abg Syah for your never-give-up attitude towards us and also En. Rasyid for preparing us with your never-ending tips during training.

Thank you Acap for giving the boys and girls the confidence that they finally deserve, not forgetting the rest of the senior guys and girls. Too many names yet unforgettable contribution to the success of this trial. The many supporters from our ex-committee and club members, thank you once again for taking time off and making your presence felt and I do very much appreciate it.

This has been in fact our first ever organized friendly trial and hope that in the future we will have a bigger and more thrilling trials with other school clubs and I must applaude our capability of working together as a committee, club and most importantly as a family. That is what TP Silat is all about, being one big united family. It was definitely fun watching all of you from the side enjoying so much together, something that we might be missing so far during training and I hope that through this, we will be closer than ever before.

You guys and girls have improved tremendously and has definitely impressed us all maybe even RP as well. At least they know TP Silat will be force to be reckon with.

So now its finally over, enjoy your weekend, tell your family and friends about your fight experience, get them all excited and I’m sure everyone is proud of your achievement. Be prepared because come January 2008, its SP to face our wrath and this time it’s a full team event. Work hard and persevere because through our sweat, we will savour the taste victory.

Lastly thank you for taking your time to read this. Its nothing much but I really wanted to let it out.
